The Wyoming County Historical Society held its 23rd annual open house at society headquarters, corner of Bridge and Harrison Streets in Tunkhannock.
Featured were photographs of the Building of the Tunkhannock Viaduct in Nicholson (1912-1915) and the Vosburg Tunnel Flood in 1936.
Participants were able to view the original charger of Wyoming County (1842), the execution warrant of Francis Basler who was executed in 1845 after being found guilty of the murder of Robert Atkinson in 1844 and the land warrant of Zebulon Marcy (1803.)
there were also tours of the genealogical library and museuml.
