Dallas Youth Basketball Sixth-Grade Travel Team recently won the Community Winter Basketball League Championship held at the Holy Trinity Church gym in Swoyersville.
Dallas defeated Wyoming Seminary, 38-30, in the championship game behind a balanced scoring attack led by Todd Phillips with 10 points and Jack Farrell with seven points.
All eight Dallas players scored for the winners. Dylan Schuster and Lenny Keely were the leading rebounders and Brett Ostroski, Jack Lukasavage, Sam Nocito and Matt Dolan played excellent defense in the win.
Ethan Meuser led Wyoming Seminary with 12 points and Eric Berley also played well in a losing cause. Dallas also won the regular season title with a 7-1 record.
