Active Adult Centers sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties offer hot noon meals Monday through Friday to people 60 years of age or older. For participants age 60+ a $2.00 meal donation is gratefully accepted. The monies are needed in order to expand this program.

The following is the menu for the week of Oct. 6:

MONDAY: Apple pork chop, sweet potato quarters, craisin spinach salad, whole wheat dinner roll, salad dressing, cinnamon baked apples, margarine, milk and coffee.

TUESDAY: Open face hot turkey sandwich, gravy, green beans, butternut squash soup, whole wheat bread, crackers, Black Forest pudding, margarine, milk and coffee.

WEDNESDAY: Baked ham, sautéed cabbage, roasted red potatoes, whole wheat dinner roll, diced pineapple, oatmeal raisin cookie, margarine, milk and coffee.

THURSDAY: Crumb topped fish, broccoli and carrots, scalloped potatoes, whole wheat dinner roll, cran-apple crisp, margarine, milk and coffee.

FRIDAY: Beef and vegetable stew, buttered noodles, whole wheat bread, fresh seasonal fruit, margarine, milk and coffee.
