The Dallas Junior Mounts B team ran their record to 6-1, rolling over the Kingston Township Raiders, 56-14.
Dallas won the coin toss and elected to receive. QB Nick Gashi found Devin Richards wide open down the left sideline for a 60-yard TD pass. With the 2-point conversion Dallas led, 8-0.
On KT’s first possession, they fumbled and Matt Esposito was there to recover and the Dallas offense was back in business. Jared Adamski rumbled through the middle of the Raiders defense scoring on a 57-yard TD run. The 2-pointer was good and Dallas led, 16-0.
The stingy Dallas defense, led by Mike Ropetski and Matt Lukasavage, forced a KT 3 and out and Dallas had the ball again. On this possession, Ethan “Moose” Meuser ran a counter all the way for a 64-yard touchdown. The 2-pointer was good and Dallas raced out to a 24-0 lead.
KT was not giving in as Raiders QB RJ Wren took the ball down the left sideline for a Raiders TD. The 2-pointer was good and the Raiders were on the scoreboard.
Dallas got the ball back and executed a 73-yard scoring drive with Nick Gashi scoring the TD. The 2-pointer was good and Dallas led, 32-8, at halftime.
KT got the ball to start the second half and went on a scoring drive finished with a Jacob Koretz TD reception. The 2-pointer was no good and Dallas led, 32-14.
Dallas methodically drove the ball down the field with its power running game with Jared Adamski adding another TD for Dallas. The 2-pointer was good and Dallas led, 40-14.
KT fumbled on its next possession and Matt Esposito was there once again to recover the ball for Dallas. Evan “big cat” Plank scored on a 1-yard plunge and added the 2-point conversion. The final Dallas score came on a Duane Craig sweep highlighted by several broken tackles on his way to a 48-yard TD run. Mike Ropetski added the 2-point conversion.
Dallas looks to keep the momentum going visiting the Duryea Wildcats today.
