‘RACHEL’S CHALLENGE’
COMES TO DALLAS HS
“Rachel’s Challenge,” a program that focuses its efforts on training students and staff to deal with bullying, intolerance, bigotry and racism will be presented at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29 in the Dallas High School auditorium.
Rachel May Scott was the risst student killed at Columbine High School in April 1999. Since then, her parents have initiated an effort to raise awareness and assist in making the school setting a place of peace, harmony and understanding.
KHS CLASS MEETS
The Kingston High School Class of 1959 will hold a Dutch Treat luncheon at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at Norn’s Pizza, Sherman Street, Wilkes-Barre to work on the plans for the 55thanniversary reunion scheduled for Aug. 16 at the Mohegan Sun Hotel.
