Yard sale
A community yard sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30 at the Huntsville United Methodist Church, 1233 Huntsville Road, Shavertown.
Vendors are wanted for spaces at $10 each. Call 570-477-3748 to reserve a space. There will be lots of furniture, household goods, toys, clothes and baked goods. The kitchen will be open for lunch.
Family movie night
A free family movie night will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 31 at Sweet Vaslley Church of Christ, 5439 Main Road, Sweet Valley.
The movie, “God is Not Dead” will be shown and there will be food, fun and games. Participants should bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Clothes Closet
The Clothes Closet at River of Life Fellowship Ministries, 22 Outlet Road, Lehman, will be open to the public from noon to 2 p.m. every Saturday. (The Clothes Closet will not be open on Sept. 6).
A large assortment of clothing for all ages and sizes is available, as well as purses, shoes, jewelry and accessories. Monetary donations for items taken will be accepted, but are not required.
Rummage sale
at Orange UMC
The women of the Orange United Methodist Church, 2293 W. 8th St., Dallas will hold their annual fall rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19 and Saturday, Sept. 20 in the church hall.
Food, refreshments and Welsh cookies will be available for purcashe.
