SPRING CONCERT

The music of two iconic American composers will be on the program when the Wyoming Seminary Civic Orchestra presents its annual spring concert at 8 p.m. today, May 4 in the Great Hall of Wyoming Seminary, 228 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, just north of Kingston Corners.

The concert is free and open to the public.

SEMINARY CONCERT

The Wyoming Seminary Upper School Wind, Jazz and Percussion Ensembles will present their annual spring concert of concert band repertoire and jazz at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6 in the Buckingham Performing Arts Center, North Sprague Avenue, Kingston.

The concert, titled “An Awfully Good Concert,” will feature music by Robert Russell Bennett, P.D.Q. Bach, John Philip Sousa, Jared Spears, John Back and well-known jazz composers such as Duke Ellington, Lee Morgan and Thelonius Monk.

The program will include student soloists and jazz combos and is free and open to the public.
