‘The King and I’ comes to Music Box

The Music Box Players will present the immortal musical “the King and I” today, Feb. 2, 6-9 and 13-16 at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse, 196 Hughes St., Swoyersville.

The show is directed by William Lipski with musical direction by Ted Anderson, costumes by Sue Drake, Gina Zanolini and Kevin Costley, and sets and lighting by Michael Gallagher.

Starring as the King of Siam is Drew Coffman, of Hazleton, while Anna is played by Mandy Gamba,l of Scranton. Other principals include Toni Jo Parmelee, Jessica Miorelli, Matt Buckman, Darren Moore, Brennan Shaffer and David Getz.

The adult ensemble includes Bill Lipski, Walter Mitchell, Tommy Walkowiak, Jen Kozerski, Madison Bradley, Katie-Louise Fidiam, Natasha Bogutzki, Bill Ulichney and Matt Wegener.

The King’s children will be played by Molly Askew, Denise Pinto, Hannah Getz, Vanessa Pinto, Adrianna Shaffer, Aiden Lupinski, Rylee Lupinski, Morgan Thomas, Kevin Bordow, Michaela Torbik, Billy Bartolomei and Joshua Harden.
