WHAT: Rep. Karen Boback (R-Columbia/Luzerne/Wyoming), in conjunction with Misericordia University, will host a Senior Expo for residents of the 117th Legislative District. This expo is designed to bring representatives from the state and local agencies and services together and allow senior citizens to learn more about them and to ask questions. Health-related screenings, including glaucoma screenings, hearing tests and blood pressure checks, will also be offered. Optional mini break-out sessions will be held on the following topics: senior legal issues, fraud and identity theft, and senior safety.
WHO: Boback and representatives from a variety of state and local government agencies and services throughout Wyoming, Luzerne and Columbia counties.
WHEN: Wednesday, Aug. 6, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
WHERE: Banks Student Life Center, Misericordia University, 301 Lake St., Dallas.
