SELINSGROVE — Maurice R. Matthews, 88, formerly of Harveys Lake, passed away March 16, 2014, in the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove. Funeral services were March 21 in the Nulton-Kopcza Funeral Home, 5749 State Route 309, Beaumont, Monroe Township.

INDIANAPOLIS — Christopher M. Patchner, 30, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 18, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He had family in Dallas and Harveys Lake. Services were held March 24 at the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home with a funeral Mass in Gate of Heaven Catholic Church, Dallas.

SHAVERTOWN — Richard J. Adanosky, 76, of Shavertown, passed away on March 19, 2014, at home. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ellen Osticco Adanosky. A visitation and service were held March 23 at the Kizis-Lokuta Funeral Home, 134 Church St., Pittston.

SHAVERTOWN — Francis “John” Brennan, 55, of Shavertown, passed away March 21, 2014, at his home surrounded by his loving family following a brief illness. A blessing service with military honors for Francis was held March 24 at the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville.

NANTICOKE — Elizabeth J. “Betty” Gotcha, 87, of Nanticoke, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2014, at home. She had family in Dallas. Funeral services were conducted March 25 from the Grontkowski Funeral Home P.C., 51 W. Green St., Nanticoke. Memorial service was held March 29 at the Nanticoke Christian Fellowship Church, Prospect Street, Nanticoke.

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — Phyllis C. Namey, 78, formerly of Kingston, and for the past 12 years of Pompano Beach, Fla., passed away March 21, 2014, at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., after a brief illness. She had family in Dallas. The funeral was held March 26 from Mamary-Durkin Funeral Service, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre, with funeral services in St. Mary’s Antiochian Orthodox Church, 905 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre.

PRINGLE — Gerard F. Schutz, 81, of Pringle, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2014, in the presence of his family at Wilkes Barre General Hospital after a short illness. He had family in Shavertown. Funeral services were March 27 from the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ignatius Church.

SUGARLOAF — Judith L. Landis, 71, of Sugarloaf, passed away early Monday morning, March 24, 2014, at Commonwealth Hospice of Wilkes-Barre, following a two-month illness.
