Local artists exhibit work at art show

Twenty-one area artists will exhibit their artwork at the 17th Annual Theme Show Invitational Art Exhibit from Sept. 12-15 at Sue Hand’s Imagery, 35 Main St., Dallas.

Each artist will exhibit six to 12 pieces of art showcasing their chosen subject, media and style. Sue Hand will exhibit her watercolor paintings depicting the former Huber Breaker in Ashley.

Guest artists and their subject themes include: Renee Giunta, Dallas, watercolor gardenscapes; Michael Hiscox, Dallas, mixed media plein air landscapes; Betty Jones, Trucksville, acrylic birds, barns, butterflies and blossoms; Pam Laity, Shavertown, colored pencil cat portraits; Fred Marshall, Dallas, acrylic naturescapes; Atsuko McHale, Falls, mixed media oriental art; Vita Reddy, Shavertown, oil landscapes; Christine Sheffler, Tunkhannock, oil creekscapes of Bowman’s Creek; and Karen Traver, Monroe Township, acrylic cows. They will be joined by 11 other artists from the greater Wyoming Valley.

The public is invited to attend the exhibit from 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Septe. 12; from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13; from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sep. 14 during the Dallas Harvest Festival; and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15.
