Elizabeth Chamberlain, an eighth-grade Dallas Middle School student, is one of over 500 junior high and high school cheerleaders and dancers from across the United States who will perform in the 95th Annual Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, the oldest Thanksgiving Day parade in the nation.
Individuals invited to perform in the parade are cheerleading and dance All Americans selected from varsity camps around the country.
All Americans are selected via tryout based on either superior cheerleading or dance skills. Only the top 12 percent of cheerleaders and dancers who arttend varsity summer camps and try out earn the chance to march in a holiday spetacular of this caliber.
Elizabeth will perform with the All American group in the annual Thanksgiving Day festivities thought the heart of historical Philadelphia. The event is televised in the Philadelphia area and syndicated throughout the United States.
Elizabeth has been a member of the Dallas Middle School cheer squad for two years and had been a cheerleader for the Kingston Twp. Raiders cheerleaders since the age of 7. She and her team from DMS placed seventh and eighth last year at NCA Junior/Senior High School Cheerleading Nationals held in Dallas, Texas. The DMs squad is coached by Jennifer Sorber.
Elizabeth is an honor student at DMS and is also an active member of her church youth group.
