The Dallas Rotary Club, in association with the Dallas Area Fall Fair Inc., will sponsor its second annual Wine and Dine Festival from noon to 6 p.m. on June 28 at the Luzerne County Fairgrounds, Route 118, Dallas.
The event will feature tastings of some of the finest wines in Pennsylvania and food will be available for purchase from specialty vendors from the Back Mountain and Endless Mountains areas. A variety of goods will also be for sale by area craftsmen. There will be musical entertainment all day, including Big Daddy Dex, Double Cross and an Elvis impersonator.
Some of the dozen wineries at the event will be Maiolatesi Wine Cellars, Red Shale Ridge Vineyards and Peace Valley Vineyards. The many food vendors will include Fire and Ice, Marianacci’s and Nico’s Pizza. Those selling crafts and other specialty items will be Earth and Wears, Unique Fashions and Earth Muse Jewelry.
The Dallas Rotary Club is an all-volunteer service organization and will conduct this event to support its more than two dozen local charities. Tickets will be $15 in advance and $25 at the door. Designated drivers will be admitted for a reduced fee of $5 and will be given special identification.
