MESHOPPEN — Beatrice Mae Pangonis, of Meshoppen, passed away on July 7, 2014, at the home of her daughter. She had family in Tunkhannock. Funeral services were July 12 at Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of the Nativity BVM, Tunkhannock.

WESTAWSKI

PLAINS TWP. — Martin John Westawski, 75, of Plains Township, entered into eternal life on June 25, 2014, in the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township, after being a patient for two weeks. Surviving is his wife of 43 years, Elizabeth. He had family in Dallas. A memorial celebration of Marty’s life was held July 11 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church of St. Andre Bessette Parish.

SIMONOVICH

SHAVERTOWN — Eleanor Simonovich, 90, of Shavertown, died July 8, 2014, at her home. She was the widow of Michael Simonovich. Funeral services were held July 11 at the Edwards and Russin Funeral Home, 717 Main St., Edwardsville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, North Maple Avenue, Kingston.

KINGSTON — David Joseph Roberts, 81, of Kingston, died July 7, 2014, at Commonwealth Hospice Inpatient Unit at Regional Hospital, Scranton, following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, the former Joan Ann Bonner, the love his life, who passed away in 2009. He had family in Dallas. Funeral services were held July 12 from the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home Inc., 140 N. Main St., Shavertown.

HANOVER TWP. — Jean E. Dobson, 62, of Hanover Township and formerly of Nanticoke, passed into the arms of heaven at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township, on July 7, 2014. She is survived by her husband, Bill Dobson. She had family in Dallas. Funeral services were held July 12 from the Stanley S. Stegura Funeral Home Inc., 614 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the main site of St. Faustina Parish, 520 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke.

WILKES-BARRE — Karen A. Crawford, 71, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away July 1, 2014, in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Surviving is her husband, Phillip, with whom she would have celebrated 45 years of marriage in October. She had family in Tunkhannock. HAGERSTOWN, Md. — Nancy Jane Sheerin Sabol, 81, of Hagerstown, died July 9, 2014. Her husband, Stephen A. Sabol, died on Aug. 29, 2001. She had family in Shavertown. WILKES-BARRE — Florence L. Herchick, 92, passed away July 9, 2014, at Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre, where she had been a resident since 2008. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary (German) Pahler. She had family in Dallas. MOOSIC — Andrew D. Oney 74, of Moosic, died July 12, 2014, at Geisinger Celtic Hospice. In November, he would have been married to Claudine P. Miner Oney for 53 years. He was born in Harveys Lake.
