The Department of Medical Imaging at Misericordia University recently sponsored the Student Research Poster Presentation Day for students in the department who will graduate at the 2014 Winter Commencement ceremony on Dec. 14.

The presentations were the culmination of research and work on a variety of topics including new and emerging technology in the medical imaging field. The students presented a total of 15 abstracts to the college community and answered questions related to their individual research topics.

Senior Alexander Chinikaylo, a medical imaging student from Dallas, presented his research entitled, “Dual Energy Computed Tomography,” a study of tomography, an emerging technology that uses dual X-ray tubes that allows for faster and more enhanced CT images.
