Homecoming 2014 festivities were held recently at Lake-Lehman High School with the “Fright Knight” theme and plenty of Halloween-related activites.
Activities began with a pep rally at the high school as the cheerleading squad danced to “Tip Toe Through the Tulips” by Tiny Tim in which the cheerleaders carried a girl dressed like the doll Annabelle from the new horror film in a casket. Annabelle popped out of the casket at the song’s conclusion.
At the Friday night football game against Nanticoke, Senior Julia Pilch was crowned Homecoming Queen by 2013 queen Brinley Williams while Matt Edkins was named Homecoming King and was crowned by cheerleading captain Natalee Barker at the Homecoming dance the following night. Members of the freshman class dressed up and danced to “Thriller” by Michael Jackson.
The dance went with the “Fright Knight” theme with decorations the students made that included flickering lights, grave stones, a mannequin in a coffin and ghosts hanging from the ceiling.
