‘A Christmas Story’
The regional premiere of the 2012 Broadway musical “A Christmas Story” based on the popular 1983 Sam Shepherd movie, complete with a chorus line of the famous “Leg Lamps” will be performed Dec. 5-7, 11-14 and 18-21 at the Music Box Playhouse, 196 Hughes St., Swoyersville.

Members of the Dallas Eastern Star Building Association Ladies will bake their famous Welsh cookies and make homesoup soup for pickup from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13 at the Dallas Eastern Star Buidling Association Hall, Foster and Woodlawn Streets, Dallas.
Welsh cookies are $4 a dozen and chicken noodle or vegetable beef soup is $6 per quart.

Pet photos with Santa
Pet photos with Santa to benefit Blue Chip Farms Animal Refuge will be taken from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6 at Whitings, 161 N. Memorial Highway, Trucskville; on Sunday, Dec. 7 at Bartolai’s Winery, Route 92, Harding, at a time to be announced and from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 at Dymond’s Farm, Brace Raod, Dallas.
A Contra dance featuring music by Curt Osgood, hammered dulcimer, Henry Jankiewicz, fiddle and John Wobus, keyboard, along with calling by Ted Crane will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6 at the Church of Christ Uniting, 776 Market St., Kingston.
No partner or previous experience is necessary. Admission is “pay what you wish.” Come early at 6 p.m.for a pot-luck dinner.

Mrs. Claus Shop
A Mrs. Claus Gift Shop will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6 at the Noxen School, School Street, Noxen. New and like new items, gifts for all ages will be available as will shopping assistants for children and free gift wrapping.
