The Pre-Kindergarten classes at Trucksville Early Childhood Education Center recently celebrated Thanksgiving by re-enacting the first Thanksgiving. Throughout the previous week, children participated in activities designed to give them an understanding of some things Pilgrims and Native Americans may have experienced. They learned the story of the first Thanksgiving and made props and costumes. At the end of the re-enactment, they shared a Thanksgiving Feast with their classmates and expressed what they are thankful for. Students in Mrs. Strutko’s and Ms. Nelson’s classes are, from left, first row, Hunter Borchert, Alexis Hudak, Emily Smith, Brooklyn Reilly, Arianna Kazimi, Madison Azarewicz, Lindsay Swire, Lucy Brunn. Second row, Nick Costello, Joe Costello, Chase Aten, Alex Christopher, Carter Sowcik, Tyler Janosov, Teague Stahovic, Ryan Zimmerman, David Hoover and Henry Weiskerger.
