OSCAR NIGHT AT

THE MUSIC BOX

The Music Box Players will present “the Movie Musical: A Night at the Oscars” at 3 p.m. today, March 2 at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse, 196 Hughes St, Swoyersville.

An original musical conceived and directed by Dana Feigenblatt, the show includes famous Academy Award songs from the 1930s to the present. A $20 admission includes a spaghetti dinner and show served 90 minute before curtain.

AUDITIONS AT

THE MUSIC BOX

The Music Box Players will hold auditions for “Urinetown: the Musical” from 7 to 9 p.m. today, March 2 at the Music Box dinner Playhouse, 196 Hughes St., Swoyersville.

All roles are available for a cast of 20 to 25, ages 15 and over. The show is directed by Dana Feigenblatt and musical director is Kim Crofchick. All who audition should bring a song of choice. An accompanist will be provided.

BRIDAL SHOWCASE

The Irem Clubhouse Bridal Showcase will be held at noon today, March 2 at the Irem Clubhouse, 64 Ridgway Drive, Dallas. Admission is free.

GRANGE MEETINGS

For the winter months of February and March, Mountain Grange No. 567 will meet at noon on March 4 at Angelo’s Restaurant in the Midway Shopping Center, Wyoming. Members should note the change of time and place for these two months.

CELEBRATING

STUDIO OPENING

A performance entitled “Share Your Flair” will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. on Friday, March 7 in the Lemmond Theater on the campus of Misericordia University to celebrate the grand opening the new Verve Vertu Studio.

The line up includes story telling, singing, dancing and musicians.

Following the performance. a grand opening celebration will be held at the new studio at 24 Main St. in Dallas.

The event is free, however, donations will be accepted.

GIFT FAIR

A spring craft and gift fair will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, March 7 and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 8 in the Irem Clubhouse Grand Ballroom, 64 Ridgway Drive, Dallas. Choose items ranging from home decorations and body products to baked goods and handmade jewelry.

50/50 BINGO

A 50/50 Bingo will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 8 at the Noxen School, School Street Noxen

Food and beverages will be available and players will pay per card. All proceeds benefit the Noxen-Monroe Sportsmen’s Club.

The Music Box Players will hold an Apple’s Flapjack Fundraiser Breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 8 atApplebee’s Restaurant, 253 Wilkes-Barre Twp. Boulevard.

DESIGNER BINGO

The Music Box Players will host Designer Bingo to raise funds for much-needed capital improvements on Sunday, March 9 at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse, 196 Hughes St., Swoyersville. Doors open at 12:30 pm and Bingo starts at 2 pm.

The 20 rounds of Bingo will award a designer gift, valued at $100 for each round.
