Mrs. Katherine R. Hudak, of Dallas, celebrated her 95th birthday on Dec. 26.
The wife of the late Anthony W. Hudak and the daughter of the late John and Anna Elenchik, of Jackson Township, Mrs. Hudak has resided in the Back Mountain all her life and is a member of St. Therese’s Church in Shavertown.
She is the mother of five children, Catherine Hudak, Shavertown; Carol Carey, Sayre; Theresa Chapman, Kingston; Geralyn Gassert, Brighton, Colorado; and Anthony Hudak, Noxen.
She also has six grandchildren, Lori and Dan Parsons, John and Tim Berti, and Sean and Jennifer Gassert and two great-grandchildren, Elena and Jack Berti.
A family dinner was held at Perugino’s Restaurant in Luzerne to mark the occasion. Mrs. Hudak says she is looking forward to celebrating her 100th birthday.
