LUZERNE — Bernard Kubinetz, of Luzerne, passed away on March 11, 2014, peacefully at home. He had family in Dallas. Funeral was held March 14 at Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home Inc., 568 Bennett St., Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ignatius Church, Kingston.

DALLAS — Dorothy A. Peiffer, 93, of Dallas, passed away March 11, 2014, at The Meadows Nursing Center. Funeral was held March 15 at Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas.

VANDERHOFF

SHAVERTOWN — Charles A. Vanderhoff, 65, passed away March 8, 2014, at his residence. He is survived by his wife, the former Cheryl Dietz. Memorial services were held March 16 in the Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church, with arrangements under the direction of the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas.

DALLAS — Jessie June George, 88, of Hamilton Road, Dallas, passed away March 8, 2014, at home. Born in Wanamie, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Esther Douglas Drendall. Funeral service was held March 13 from the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main St., Plains Township.

ELKHORN, Neb. — Helen Rose Bentley, 83, passed away Feb. 15, 2014, with hospice care at home in Elkhorn, Neb. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Harold C. Bentley. She had family in Shavertown. Services were held at the convenience of the family.

WILKES-BARRE — Margaret A. Dailey, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away March 12, 2014, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was the wife of Harold Dailey, who passed away in 1984. She had family in Dallas. Funeral Mass was March 15 in St. Ignatius of Loyola Church, Kingston, with arrangements by the Karl E. Blight Funeral Home, 392 Wyoming Ave., Kingston.

BENNETT

LANCASTER — June P. Bennett died peacefully March 5, 2014, just two months short of her 100th birthday, at Willow Valley Retirement Community, Willow Street, where she had been a resident for the last 15 years. She was raised in Trucksville. A memorial service will be held in Willow Valley at a later date.

CLARKS SUMMIT — Robert Santarelli, 74, of Clarks Summit passed away March 14, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He had family in Shavertown. Funeral services were held March 17 from Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony’s Church of St. Barbara’s Parish, Exeter.

TRUCKSVILLE — Claire J. Meyers, 88, of Dallas and formerly of Trucksville, passed away March 11, 2014, at The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. DALLAS — Marshall “Mike” W. Warman, 62, of Dallas, passed away March 15, 2014, at his home with his loving wife by his side. Funeral services were held March 19 from Williams-Hagen Funeral Home Inc., 114 W. Main St., Plymouth.

SUGAR NOTCH — Margaret Clinton, 91, entered into eternal rest on March 12, 2014, following a long illness. She had family in Shavertown. Celebration of Margaret’s life was held March 19 at McLaughlin’s – The Family Funeral Service, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre. A funeral Mass was celebrated March 20 in the Church of Holy Family, Main Street, Sugar Notch.

DIXON

FALLS — Leonard H. Dixon, 64, of Falls, died suddenly on March 14, 2014. He had family in Dallas. Services were held at the convenience of the family, with arrangements by Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock.
