The Cub Scouts of Pack 281 and their families met at Cleary Field on July 19 to see how high they could blast a 2- liter soda bottle into the air with water and a bicycle pump.
The Scouts learned about pressure and gravity and the laws of motion before decorating their bottles and launching them with varying amounts of water and air. They also added fins to stabilize the rockets’ flight.
Over 50 Scouts, siblings and family members attended the event.
