TERRE HAUTE, IN – Dallas graduate and William & Mary freshman Regan Rome placed 90th at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I Women’s Cross Country Championships Saturday, Nov. 22 when she finished the 6-kilometer course in 21:09.1.

Rome worked her way up through the 253-runner field. She was 104th after two kilometers and 100th after four.

By the time she finished, Rome was the 10th fastest freshman in the national championship event.

Rome was the second runner for William & Mary helping the Tribe finish 17th out of 31 teams.

Michigan State outscored Iowa State for the national title.

Rome was a four-time District 2 champion at Dallas and finished second individually while leading the Mountaineers to the state Class AA team title last year as a senior.
