The Back Mountain Memorial Library has a full schedule of upcoming programs sure to entice everyone to venture outside, now that Spring is just around the corner.

• Behavioral Finance – Wednesday, March 12 at 7 p.m. The psychological approach to investing will be discussed by Conor Malone.

• Trash or Treasure Program – Thursday, April 3 at 7 p.m. Presenter Martha Kellow will share with the audience items that are, and are not, collectible. She will also offer tips and pointers for identifying items of value and collectability.

• Found Poetry Workshop – Thursday, April 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. Even if you have never written a line of poetry or if you have been penning for some time, join us on our poetry search led by Dawn Leas, M.A. /M.F.A.

All of the above programs will be held at the library at 96 Huntsville Road in Dallas. All programs are free. Pre-registration is required and may be made by calling the library at 570-675-1182.

The monthly Thursday morning Book Discussion group will meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 13 at the library. The selected title for this month is “The Son” by Philipp Meyer. New members are always welcome and may call the library for more information.

The Slightly Read Bookshop is also busy getting ready for Spring by offering a Half-Price Book Sale. For the month of March, all cooking, gardening, decorating, home improvement and handicraft books will all be sold at half price their sticker value. It’s a great time to stock up for all of those warm weather projects.

New items are added daily and include great gift ideas, household items. and decorative items, all at discount prices. All proceeds directly benefit the library.
