Paige Selenski started all seven games for the U.S. women’s field hockey team at the World Cup in The Hague, Netherlands.

A Dallas High School graduate, Selenski scored one goal and assisted on another while helping the United States place fourth after coming into the tournament ranked 10th.

The finish was the second-best in eight World Cup appearances by the U.S. women. The United States missed its first championship game appearance ever when it lost in a shootout against Australia in the semifinals.

Selenski was one of five players the U.S. selected to take an attempt in the shootout, but was unable to convert. Australia won the shootout, 3-1, clinching the win in four attempts after the teams tied, 2-2, in regulation.
