Plans are well underway at Tunkhannock Business and Professional Women (BPW) for Wine Down 2014 slated for Thursday, May 1 at the historic Dietrich Theater in downtown Tunkhannock.

In addition to a movie, there will be wine, finger foods, desserts and door prizes.

This year’s movie will be “Enough Said” (2013), a romantic comedy, starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus and James Gandolfini (in one of his final roles). It received acclaim from critics ranking as the fifth best-reviewed wide release of 2013 and received several major award nominations.

Tickets are available in advance from BPW members or at the door at a cost of $20 per person. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. at the Dietrich Theater and the movie starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Evans Theater.

This event is one of the major fund-raising events undertaken annually by Tunkhannock BPW, a chapter of BPW PA, an organization dedicated to promoting full participation, equity and economic self-sufficiency for America’s working women.

The Tunkhannock BPW chapter currently meets on the second Monday of each month at the Warren Hotel, 46 Warren St., Tunkhannock. Contact the chapter President, Janet MacKay, at jmackay@vrcnepa.org for further information.
