The Lake-Lehman School District announces kindergarten registration and screening for eligible children who will be entering kindergarten in the 2014-2015 school year.

Registration will be held on Feb. 18 at Lehman-Jackson Elementary, Feb. 19 at Lake-Noxen Elementary and Feb. 20 at Ross Elementary. Lake-Lehman School District Policy states that a child must be five (5) years of age before Sept. 1, 2014 in order to register for the 2014-2015 school year. Kindergarten at the Lake-Lehman School District is an all-day program.

Screenings will be conducted during registration and includes a vision screening and a simple readiness assessment. Registration will be held at each elementary school according to the following alphabetical order of last name. Parents are asked to register their student in the building he/she will attend. Students must be in attendance for registration.

The registration schedule at all three schools is as follows:

9 a.m. – Students A-E

10 a.m. – Students F-J

11 a.m. – Students K-O

Noon – Closed

1 p.m. – Students P-S

2 p.m. – Students T-Z

In order to register a student, parents must bring a copy of the birth certificate for each child, proof of immunizations (immunizations required are three does of Hepatitis B, three doses of Polio, four doses of DTP (fourth dose after the fourth birthday), two doses of MMR and two doses of varicella or history of the disease and proof of residency.
