Active Adult Centers sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties offer hot noon meals Monday through Friday to people 60 years of age or older. Donations from participants are gratefully accepted and needed in order to expand this program.

The following is the menu for the week of Jan. 27:

MONDAY: Roast chicken, parsley boiled potatoes, green beans, whole wheat dinner roll, fruit crisp, margarine, milk and coffee.

TUESDAY: Meatloaf, gravy, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, whole wheat dinner roll, orange, margarine, milk and coffee.

WEDNESDAY: Polish Festival Lunch – Kielbasa with onions and peppers, haluski, mixed vegetable medley, cabbage vegetable soup, Polish water ice, crackers, apricot tartlette, margarine, milk and coffee.

THURSDAY: Herb pork roast, gravy, sauerkraut, roasted red potatoes, whole wheat dinner roll, fresh fruit, chocolate chip cookie, margarine, milk and coffee.

FRIDAY: Chicken and sausage bake, steamed spinach, white Rice, whole wheat bread, Ambrosia, margarine, milk and coffee.
