For the 15th consecutive year, Lake-Lehman High School has won the Outstanding School Award, Senior Division, at the 2014 Regional History Day Contest at Penn State/Wilkes-Barre. The award is presented to the high school in the region that achieves the most winning entries.

All six projects that Lake-Lehman entered at the Regional Contest took first place, an unprecedented feat in Lake-Lehman High School’s 21-year participation in the Regional Contest.

As a result, Lake-Lehman achieved first-place awards in the historical paper, individual and group documentary, individual and group performance and group website categories.

Ten students and their projects from Lake-Lehman High School will now compete in the state competition, which will be held from May 12-13 at Millersville University.

All students researched topics related to the History Day annual theme, which for 2014 was “Rights and Responsibilities in History.”
