‘The Pied Piper’ plays at the Music Box

The Music Box Players will present an original children’s musical, “The Pied Piper” today, May 4 and May 9 and 10 at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse, 196 Hughes St., Swoyersville.

The musical adaptation of “The Pied Piper” is written by local writers Kevin Costley (book and lyrics) and Ted Anderson (music). It is one of several children’s stories they’ve written which have been performed at the Music Box as well as in schools and theatres in Scranton, Stroudsburg and Reading, as well as children’s theatre festivals at the Scranton Cultural Center and the Kirby Center.

The cast features Michael Radzwilla in the title role of the “Pied Piper,” Dan Pascoe and Dana Feigenblatt as “Mayor and Mrs. Twaddle.” Steve Bartolomei and Shelley Bartolomei as “The Banker & his Wife.” Amber McKenna as “Aunt Felina” and Lauren Fredmund as “Ms. Schroo.”

The children’s ensemble includes Maia Bagusky, Emma McKenna, Saraea Kaplan, Madison Chacko, Billy Bartolomei and David Getz.
