Electrical Engineering Technology Seniors at Penn State Wilkes-Barre are in the process of designing and building a small satellite to be launched into the earth’s orbit next year.
Utilizing 3-Demensional printing technology to construct the prototype’s components and most of the actual satellite parts, the students presented the current state of the project to the Industrial Advisory Committee on Nov. 12 as part of their course requirements.
The Industrial Advisory Committee serves as an outside body to help bridge the gap between industry and academia. Members of this Industrial Advisory Committee help faculty in the program ensure that the curriculum is consistent with the current needs of the industry. They are also involved with guiding students in this major.
