It’s never too early to begin auction planning

Although the colder temperatures and accompanying slush and snow have us staying indoors, there’s at least one very good reason to start looking ahead to summer.

The Back Mountain Memorial Library’s Annual Auction is only five months away!

The dates for the 68th Annual Auction are July 10, 11, 12 and 13 and committee chairpersons are already busy planning another successful event.

The next auction planning meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27 in the Community Room of the library. Anyone interested in volunteering is welcome to attend. Call the library at 570-675-1182 for more information.

The monthly Thursday morning Book Discussion group will meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20 at the library. The selected title for this month is “The Red Hat Club” by Haywood Smith. New members are always welcome and may call the library for more information.

Reminder to parents: The Winter/Spring children’s storyhours are now in session. Call the library to check for openings.
