Program outlines college lacrosse opportunities

Female athletes who play lacrosse and are interested in learning about the opportunities in college lacrosse competition are invited to attend a special lacrosse program at Wyoming Seminary Upper School in January.

Coaches from three college women’s lacrosse programs will come together for an informational recruiting college panel discussion at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015in the Upper School’s Stettler Learning Resources Center on North Sprague Avenue, Kingston. The discussion is free and open to the public.

Girls of all ages who enjoy playing lacrosse and are thinking of playing in college are welcome to attend the discussion with their parents.

Panel members include Gabby Capuzzi, assistant women’s lacrosse coach at the NCAA Div. I United States Naval Academy; Kate Scattergood, head women’s lacrosse coach at Div. II Kutztown University; and Katie Hagen, head women’s lacrosse coach at Div. III Ursinus College.

The coaches will offer information about the college recruiting process for lacrosse, travel teams and playing lacrosse at the collegiate levels.
