The Wyoming Seminary Music Department will present a concert of seasonal music at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14 in the new Kirby Center for Creative Arts, North Sprague Avenue, Kingston. The concert is free and open to the public.
In this festive holiday program, the Sem Chorale and select Madrigal Singers will perform Pergolesi’s “The Magnificat” as well as several well-loved Christmas carols. The singers also will perform a work by Sem graduate and Los Angeles-based composer Daniel Levin, titled “The Creative Spirit.”
In addition, the Sem orchestra will perform a variety of seasonal and classical works, such as music by Saint-Saëns and Gluck, and the string ensemble will present music by Mozart and Haydn. The concert will also include a performance by the Sem hand bell choir.
This concert is part of Wyoming Seminary’s 2014-15 Performing Arts series.
