The Northeast Riverdawgs, a travel baseball team with players from the Back Mountain and West Pittston area,s were champions in the Grand Slam America Golden Spikes Tournament held recently in Lansdale. The local team defeated the Buck County Legends, 15-2. The Riverdawgs went undefeated in the tournament and only gave up five runs during the tournament.
