TWO NAMED

ALL AMERICA

Patrick Madaya and Patrick Gelso, of the Dallas High School swim team, have been named Academic All America by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association.

To qualify for this award the athlete must have a minimum GPA 3.750 on 4.0 scale or 95.75% on the grade scale the school uses for seven semesters, GPA may not be rounded up and be a graduating senior and letter in theirsenior year.

Madaya will attend Boston University to study Biochemistry and Molecular Biology while Gelso will study Mechanical Engineering at Wilkes University.

HOCKEY CAMP

The Mounts Field Hockey Camp sponsored by the Dallas Field Hockey Booster Club will be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 16-20 at the Dallas hockey field. The camp is for girls entering grades 2-8 and will be run by Dallas Head Coach Kylie Fisher.

BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Rock Rec Sports Complex Men’s Summer Basketball League starts June 18 and continues at 5:30, 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays Cost is $500 per team for an eight-game season which includes League Fee, referees and uniforms.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
