HARVEYS LAKE — Mr. Albert Timko, of Harveys Lake, passed away May 25, 2014, at his home. He had family in Tunkhannock. A Mass of Christian Burial was held May 31 in Our Lady of Victory Parish, 16 Second St., Harveys Lake. Arrangements are by the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.

DiGIUSEPPE

DALLAS — Josephine A. DiGiuseppe, 80, Dallas, passed away May 23, 2014, at Wilkes Barre General Hospital. Her husband of 42 years is Albert L. DiGiuseppe. Funeral was held May 31 from the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Victory Church, Harveys Lake.

HANOVER TWP. — Joan Golightly O’Day, of Hanover Township, passed away May 26, 2014, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. She had family in Dallas. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.

JOHNS

DALLAS — Thomas J. Johns, of Dallas, passed away May 26, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Born July 8, 1932, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Joseph and Selma George Johns. Mass of Christian Burial was held May 30 in St. Therese Church, Shavertown. There will be no calling hours. Funeral arrangements by Mamary-Durkin Funeral Services, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre.

LAFLIN — David P. Rowker, of Laflin, Jenkins Township, and Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on May 27, 2014, at Commonwealth Hospice of NEPA in Scranton. He had family in Tunkhannock. Funeral services were held May 31 with the Office of Christian Burial with divine liturgy in St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre. Arrangements by Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock.

FLANLEY

ALLENTOWN — Mary E. Flanley, 86, of Allentown, passed away on May 27, 2014, in Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. Mary was the wife of the late Eugene M. Flanley Sr., who passed in 2008. She had family in Dallas. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 2 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Allentown. Arrangements provided by the O’Donnell Funeral Home, 908 Hanover Ave., Allentown.

CUNNINGHAM

PLYMOUTH — Mrs. Margaret Cunningham, 77, of Plymouth, died May 28, 2014, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Cunningham Sr., who passed away in January of 2010. She had family in Jackson Township. A funeral service was held May 30 at the William A. Reese Funeral Chapel, rear 56 Gaylord Ave., Plymouth.

WEST WYOMING — Joseph Francis S. Sokoloski, 73, of West Wyoming, passed away on May 29, 2014, at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township, surrounded by his loving family. He had family in Tunkhannock, Dallas and Trucksville. Funeral services were May 31 from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Church, 571 Bennett St., Luzerne.

DALLAS — Robert N. Cartier, 87, formerly of Dallas, passed away May 29, 2014, in Florida. Private prayer service was held June 3 in the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., Dallas.

SHAVERTOWN — Bernice L. Hill, 90, formerly of Shavertown, passed away May 30, 2014, at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Funeral service was June 2 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Dallas. Arrangements provided by the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., Dallas.

KINGSTON — David D. Egleberger, of Kingston, died May 29, 2014, at home. He had family in Shavertown. Funeral and internment will be private and held at the convienence of the family. Arrangements by the Hugh P. Boyle & Son Funeral Home Inc., 416 Wyoming Ave., Kingston.

BLOSS

DRUMS — Barbara Bloss, of Drums, passed away on May 29, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazelton. Barbara was born in Kingston on Nov. 4, 1942; a daughter of the late Joseph and Stella Zuba. She had family in Shavertown. A viewing was held June 1 at the Butler Chapel of Krapf and Hughes Funeral Home, 530 Butler Drive, Drums.

WILLIAMS

JENKINS TWP. — Priscilla R. Williams, 89, formerly of Shavertown, died on May 31, 2014, at The Wesley Village, Jenkins Township. She married Howard G. Williams, in 1973, and resided on Woodbine Road, Shavertown, among many wonderful and caring neighbors until Howard’s death. Funeral service was held June 3 from the Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort.

SANTICH

TUNKHANNOCK — David D. Santich, 71, of Tunkhannock, passed away unexpectedly May 31, 2014 in Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. Born in Duryea, Aug. 7, 1942, a son of the late Matthew and Palma Gnazzo Santich. Funeral services were held June 4 at the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, 509 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston.

HOPFER

NOXEN — Gary R. Hopfer, 68, of Tannery Street, Noxen, died June 1, 2014, in St. Luke’s Hospice Villa, Wilkes-Barre. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Wilma M. Rifenbery Hopfer. He had family in Dallas. Funeral services were held June 4 from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock.

LEHMAN — William Henry Goodwin Jr., 86, of Lehman, passed away June 2, 2014, at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. Funeral services were held June 6 from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.

ZELIENOPLE — Sarah A. Clark, 103, of Zelienople, formerly of Dallas and Kingston, passed away on June 1, 2014, while under the care of Passavant Retirement Community. Born Feb. 8, 1911, in Berwick, she was the daughter of the late Miles and Nellie (Moss) Wagner. Funeral services were held June 7 from the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home Inc., 140 N. Main St., Shavertown.
