Community Cares for Kids (CCK) Eighth Annual Fundraiser will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25 at the Westmoreland Club in Wilkes Barre.
Proceeds fund a yearly medical mission to the children of Ecuador who suffer from disfiguring injuries or birth defects. CCK, an all-volunteer organization, also donates to area charities and communities in crisis.
The fundraiser is am evening of fine food and drink, music and fun. This year’s event features a premium open bar all evening long, hor d’ouevres, dinner and dessert, along with dancing to live music by The Uptown Band.
A silent auction offers jewelry from Valentine’s, sculpture by David Green, art from Marquis Art and Frame, antiques, a Pride Mobility scooter, a fur piece from RK Furs, spa packages from Age of Innocence, plus a 50/50 raffle, a palm reader, magician, and photographer provide entertainment for all.
Attire is “Blue, Black, or Beads” (that’s anything from black tie and mask to blue jeans and beads).
