Baker representative

in Tunkhannock

Tom Yoniski, field representative for Senator Lisa Baker, will be available for consultation from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at the Commissioners’ Office Conference Room inside the Wyoming County Courthouse, 1 Courthouse Square, Tunkhannock.

Roundtable meets

The Wyoming Valley Civil War Roundtable will have a program on Paranormal Activity at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9 at the Daddow-Isaacs American Legion, 730 Memorial Highway, Dallas.

Member Ed Dubil will present “Paranormal Civil War Activity at Fort Mifflin, Carlisle Barracks (Jeb Stuart’s raid) and at Sachs Bridge. This will be an electronic voice production.

A $3 donation is requested of non-members.

Meet and greet

Meet and greet Laura Dickson, Democratic candidate for District 117 state representative, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10 at the Old Beaumont School, Plattsburg Road, Monroe Township. Light refreshments will be served.

Auditions

Auditions for the Northeast PA premiere of “A Christmas Story,” will be held at 7 p.m. on Oct. 20 for children ages 8 to 13 and at 7 p.m. on Oct 21 for adults at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse, 196 Hughes St., Swoyersville.

Those who audition are asked to sing a song of choice and read from the script. The director is Debbie Zehner.

Performance dates are Dec 4 to 7, 11 to 14, and 18 to 21.

Roast beef dinner

A roast beef dinner will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at the Northmoreland Twp. Fire Hall in Centermoreland. Eat-in or take-out.

The Dallas Eastern Star Building Association will hold a flea market, craft and vendor sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 15 Foster St., Dallas.

The Music Box Trick or Treat Halloween Revue will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31 for trick or treating and games at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse, 196 Hughes St., Swoeyrsville.

Cemetery Assn. meeting

The annual meeting of the Cedar Crest Cemetery Association will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1 in the conference room at the Dickson Educational Facility, Trucksville United Methodist Church, 40 Knob Hill Road, Trucksville,.

The agenda will include plans for the future and election of officers.

Night at the races
