Rep. Karen Boback (R-Columbia/Luzerne/Wyoming) has announced her satellite office schedule for the month of August.

A member of Boback’s staff will be available in the Back Mountain area on the following dates and times:

Wednesday, Aug. 13: 10 a.m. to noon at the Falls Senior Center, 2813 Sullivans Trail, Falls.

Hours will not be held this month at the Benton Senior Center, but will return in September.

Wednesday, Aug. 27: 10 a.m. to noon at the Shickshinny Senior Center, 19 West Vine St. in Shickshinny.

Individuals who cannot attend the satellite hours can contact either of Boback’s full-time district offices, located in Dallas at 570-675-6000 or in Tunkhannock at 570-836-4777. Residents can also call toll free at 800-278-3930 and state forms are available at RepBoback.com.

Boback will hold her annual Senior Expo in conjunction with Misericordia University from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at the university’s Banks Student Life Center. The expo is a way for seniors to learn more about the variety of public and private programs and services made available to them in Pennsylvania.

A second expo, held with Rep. Sandra Major (R-Susquehanna/Wayne/Wyoming) is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28 at the Triton Hose Company, 116 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock.

In an effort to address federal and state issues across Boback’s district, U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta (R-11) hosts a monthly casework day at her district office in Dallas, located at 1108 Twin Stacks Drive.

Patrick Rogan, a caseworker for Barletta, will be available from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Aug. 8 at Boback’s Dallas office. He will be available to help constituents having problems with federal agencies and programs, and constituents are encouraged to bring documents they have received from federal agencies related to their issues.

Boback will host the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Mobile Veterans Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 4 at her Tunkhannock district office. The center will also visit the Dallas Shopping Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15. Appointments for the mobile center can be made by calling 570-344-2676.

Some of the services provided at the center for veterans and their dependents include individual, group, family and bereavement counseling, medical referrals, assistance in applying for Veterans Affairs benefits, employment counseling, guidance and referrals and alcohol and drug assessments.
