Active Adult Centers sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties offer hot noon meals Monday through Friday to people 60 years of age or older. Donations from participants are gratefully accepted and needed in order to expand this program.

The following is the menu for the week of March 17:

MONDAY: St. Patrick’s Special Dinner – Ham and cabbage, boiled potatoes, beef barley soup, Irish soda bread, green cake, margarine, milk and coffee.

TUESDAY: Roast pork, gravy, brussels sprouts, baked sweet potatoes, whole wheat dinner roll, apple bread pudding, margarine, milk and coffee.

WEDNESDAY: Meatball sandwich, beet salad, minestrone soup, whole wheat hot dog roll, crackers, citrus fruit salad, margarine, milk and coffee.

THURSDAY: Roast turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, whole wheat dinner roll, pumpkin pudding, margarine, milk and coffee.

FRIDAY: Eggplant Parmesan, whole wheat rotini, steamed garlic broccoli, whole wheat bread, birthday cake, margarine, milk and coffee.
