‘A Christmas Story’

The regional premiere of the 2012 Broadway musical “A Christmas Story” based on the popular 1983 Sam Shepherd movie, complete with a chorus line of the famous “Leg Lamps” will be performed Dec. 14 and 18-21 at the Music Box Playhouse, 196 Hughes St., Swoyersville.

The first-ever Christmastown “Adopt My Day” 3vent to benefit Blue Chip Farms will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. today, Dec. 14 at Sherman’s Sheds, 1224 Twin Stacks Drive, Dallas.

Christmastown

Christmastown will include the “town” of sheds decorated into a holiday town. There wil be free photos with Santa for both children and pets, Christmas goodies and dogs avablable for adoption.

Bingo slated

Bingo will be held on Monday, Dec. 15 at the Northmoreland Twp. Fire Hall in Centermoreland. Doors open at 6 p.m. and early birds begin at 6:30 p.m. Food and beverage available.

Breakfast

with Santa

The Shavertown Volunteer Fire Department will hold a All You Can Eat Breakfast With Santa from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 20 at the Shavertown Volunteer Fire Department, 170 N. Main St., Shavertown.

Scrambled eggs, pancakes, breakfast potatoes, toast, coffee and orange Juice will be served. Price is $6 for Adults and $3 for children. Children under the age of 10 are free with a paying adult.

Photos with Santa Claus will be available.

Bingo will be held on Monday, Dec. 29 at the Northmoreland Twp. Fire Hall In Centermoreland. Doors open at 5 p.m. and early birds begin at 6:30 p.m. Food and beverage available.

Contra dance

A New England Contra dance featuring music by the band “Smash the Windows” along with calling by Hilton Baxter will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3 at the Church of Christ Uniting, 776 Market St., Kingston.

No partner or previous experience is necessary. Admission to the dance is “pay what you wish.” Come early at 6 p.m. for a pot-luck dinner.
