Active Adult Centers sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties offer hot noon meals Monday through Friday to people 60 years of age or older. For participants age 60+ a $2 meal donation is gratefully accepted. The monies are needed in order to expand this program.

The following is the menu for the week of Dec. 8:

MONDAY: Crumb topped fish, broccoli and carrots, scalloped potatoes, whole wheat dinner roll, cran-apple crisp, margarine, milk and coffee.

TUESDAY: Bag lunch

WEDNESDAY: Shredded pork sandwich, gravy, corn chowder, sautéed spinach, whole wheat sandwich roll, crackers, fresh fruit salad, margarine, milk and coffee.

THURSDAY: Stuffed cabbage rolls, vegetable medley, mashed potatoes, whole wheat dinner roll, rice pudding with raisins, margarine, milk and coffee.

FRIDAY: Glazed turkey, peas and pearl onions, baked acorn squash, whole wheat dinner roll, pumpkin spice cake, margarine, milk and coffee.
