The Annual Corey Ehret Walk is planned for 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24 at the Dallas High School Mountaineer Stadium. All proceeds support the Corey Ehret Student of the Quarter Scholarship.

The event will feature music, food and of course the lighted luminaries walk which will be on a paved pathway on the outside of the Dallas High School football stadium.

At dusk, the community is invited to walk the lighted luminary path and to launch lanterns in memory of love ones on the Cross County, course directly to the right of the school. Luminaries and lanterns will be sold at the door on a limited basis beginning at 6:30.

T-shirts are available for $15. Call 570-675-8797 to order. Deadline to order is Oct. 9.

Corey Ehret was awarded the Student of the Quarter Spirit Award while a sophomore and junior at Dallas High School. He passed away shortly after graduating from Dallas High School.

The Corey Ehret Scholarship was initiated to recognize those seniors who have shown great school spirit while maintaining good academic standing. This year’s award recipient was Frank Hullahan. The Corey Ehret Walk will kick off this year’s Dallas High School Homecoming Weekend.
