MU presentation

The Misericordia University Department of Physician Assistant Studies and Campus Ministry, in conjunction with the 90th anniversary celebration of Misericordia University, is co-sponsoring the presentation, “The World Needs Mercy: Can You Respond,’’ by Karen Schneider, RSM, M.D., assistant professor of pediatric emergency medicine at Johns Hopkins University, at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 23 in the Catherine Evans McGowan Room of the Mary Kintz Bevevino Library. The program is free to the public.

Dr. Schneider will discuss how children in need around the world need the assistance of others.

Car and

truck show

Dallas High School Economics Club will hold its third annual car and truck show on Sunday, Sept. 28 at the Dallas High School parking lot.

Registration is $ 10 per vehicle and will be from 9 a.m. to noon with judging from 2 to 4 p.m. and award presentation to follow. Twenty-five top awards trophies and five special awards trophies will be given. Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 50 registrants.

Food and beverages will be available along with bathroom facilities.

Craft fair

The West Side Career and Technology Center SkillsUSA student organization will hold a holiday craft fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the school, 75 Evans St., Pringle to raise funds for community service projects and to assist students in local, state and national competitions.

Various vendors, food, Chinese auction, door prizes and plenty of parking will be available. Vendor spaces are still available.
