A group of Northeastern Pennsylvania artists who call themselves “The Thursday Morning Painters” are currently exhibiting their art in the lobby of the Forty Fort branch of the Citizens Bank, corner of Wyoming Avenue and Welles Street.

The artists work in a variety of media and techniques are exhibiting portraits, landscapes, seascapes, architecture and florals created in watercolor, graphite, acrylic and oil.

Mary Lee Klemish, of Kingston, is exhibiting graphite renderings of local churches as well as a large oil still life of pears and other realistic works including an acrylic rendering of the first Martz bus and an acrylic still life of marbles.

Gretchen Watters, of Kingston, enjoys creating small works and miniatures in watercolor and/or colored pencil.

Amanda Newman, of Dallas, has several watercolor birdhouses with cardinals and a figurative miniature on display.

Meg Karwaski, of Trucksville, creates watercolor portraits of her husband and Golden Retrievers as well as watercolor lilacs and landscapes.

Sal Luzio, of Old Forge, is exhibiting a watercolor portrait of his home as well as several watercolors of Cape May.

Diane Levandoski, of Dallas, enjoys the colors and textures of woodlands, rocks, and the desert canyons. She is exhibiting an acrylic autumn stone wall from Tobyhanna, an oil scene from Rickett’s Glen, a graphite of the Yale University Library and a palette knife oil of Bryce Canyon, among others.
