Lake-Lehman was pitted against Dallas entering the final round of District 2 wrestling action on Saturday, with each team having earned a separate fourth match.

When Hanover Area’s Steve Radzwilla turned back Garrett Artsma of Dallas, though, the Black Knights wrestlers cheered, knowing that Dallas would not overtake them in points and, by a margin of one point, the Knights came away with the team title in the wrestling tournament.

Jake Winters (138), Bryan Carter (152) and Nick Shelley (160) all won by decision for the Knights after Dallas’ Dominick DeGraba started the day with a win at 106.

Shelley’s win, which earned him a second district title, came against another former district champion, Mountaineer Bill Dixon.

At his match in the 126 lb. category, the Knights’ Austin Harry did his best to give his team a chance, pinning Nanticoke’s Josh Allbaugh, earning his second district title.
