Turnout light; no problems reported

Luzerne County Director of Elections Leonard C. Piazza III said reports from throughout the county’s 189 precincts reveal low voter turnout through 2 p.m.

Piazza said between 10 and 20 percent is being reported. No problems have been reported, he added.

Polls opened at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Results will be posted on www.timesleader.com as they come in.

Among the races on the ballots are those for state and county judges, mayors, city and borough council, township supervisor, school directors and prothonotary. A home rule study commission referedum is also on the ballot as are candidates to serve on the commission if the voters approve its formation.
