Luzerne County’s count of confirmed cases of swine flu doubled Friday to four.
According to the state Department of Health, two more probable cases in the county have now been confirmed and the state now has 152 confirmed cases, in addition to 45 more probables. Lackawanna County’s confirmed count remains at one but neighboring Monroe County, which has two confirmed cases already also reported six probable cases on Friday.
Citing privacy issues, Department of Health spokeswoman Stacy Kriedeman said she couldn’t release the names or other identifying information of those who tested positive for the strain of influenza.
