WILKES-BARRE – A small stream and urban flooding advisory has been issued for parts of Luzerne County until 3:45 p.m., according to the county’s Emergency Management Agency.
The advisory was issued in anticipation of additional heavy rainfall from thunderstorms that are expected to reach the county by around 1:30 p.m. Flooding is possible in small streams and roadways with poor drainage. Residents are advised not to drive through water covered roadways.

Wilkes-Barre — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for all of Northeast Pennsylvania, expiring at 7 p.m.
A storm is currently being tracked into Luzerne County from the west, bringing hail, heavy rain, cloud-to-ground-lightning and damaging winds.
It is expected to move through Huntington Mills at 12:05 p.m., Shickshinny at 12:15 p.m., and Glen Lyon at 12:25 p.m. and continuing to move east.
